Three Czerwonka Claims & the Facts
Here a three of several claims by my opponent and the actual facts, if you have doubts of my statements of fact please contact Councilaman Tom Adamec or Marc Sirkin, the two uncontested representatives in this current election.
Czerwonka Claim #1: Czerwonka requested the Hamilton County Board of Elections remove my name from the November Blue Ash City Council ballot, claiming my nominating petition was invalid.
Fact: On August 30th, 2017, at the Board of Elections hearing, the Board rejected Czerwonka’s claims, and even the Republican member voted against him. [ A link to BOE minutes ]
Czerwonka Claim #2: Czerwonka says he supported NOPE (Neighbors Opposed to the Pipeline Extension) against the Duke pipeline.
Fact: Czerwonka did not attend key NOPE meetings and was the only Mayor not to speak against the pipeline at the Power Sitting Board held in UC Blue Ash, and furthermore is quoted at a Blue Ash City Council meeting saying that writing a letter opposing the pipeline would be “worthless”. (Suburban Press May 4th 2016)
Czerwonka Claim #3: In his campaign literature, Czerwonka says he never voted for apartments in his campaign literature.
Fact: On December 2006 in the Blue Ash City Council meeting he voted for the zoning which permitted the building of unlimited density apartments, (Ordinance No. 2006-60) and on December 11th 2014 he voted to deny an appeal by residents against the building of Hunt road appartment complex Phase 2.
Czerwonka's attempts to remove me from the City Council Race: He was rejected by Board Of Election
Please note my opponent Lee Czerwonka attempted to win re-election by default by making a protest to the Board of Election against me running for the same office he is. Czerwonka attempted to have the Board perceive a defect in my nominating petition. His protest asked the Board of Election that I be removed from the November Blue Ash City Council ballot. Note, Czerwonka was appointed to Blue Ash City Council At Large position almost 14 years ago that he and I are now running for.
The Board of Election ruled in my favor and rejected Czerwonka protest, Note, even the Republican member voted against his protest. Per the Board of Election Robert R. Ryan will be on this November ballot and I ask for your support.
Best Wishes

Questionable Political signs injected into Blue Ash City Council Race
It has been brought to my attention and I have noticed that my opponent’s campaign signs are now showing up en masse at business locations who have had received financial incentives to build their office locations within the city. I do not oppose those incentives, but I do think it is TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE for a council candidate to use those corporate entities for his own political gain and campaign. Here is a small sample my opponent signs in Blue Ash.
My primary focus has always been on residents who live in Blue Ash and then the companies who do business here. I sense my opponent has that focus switched the other way. He using his elected position with these companies who have received financial incentives to build in Blue Ash for his own campaign. That is ethically inappropriate!
One of my goals as your representative on City Council
As a City Council member I intend to keep Blue Ash moving forward in a fiscally responsible manner using our established long range plans as a guide and keeping true to the City’s charter. One such area is the City Council meetings. I awant to make city meetings truly available to the public by using our video and internet capability to broadcast council and other city meeting.
With the technology available today it is really very simple and inexpensive. We are not always available to attend these meeting due to work or personal commitments. Most of the time these meetings will have very low viewing rates, but occasionally they will be topics of significant interest like the discussion of downtown development, Summit Park plans, or moving the Veteran memorial from the downtown plaza.
